Angelina Jolie has lined up a new leading man for her film Beyond Borders, the Tomb Raider star let slip Thursday night to us at the Los Angeles premiere of hubby Billy Bob Thornton's Bandits.
British actor Clive Owen, of Croupier and the Web-based BMW film series The Hire, will join her in the film about international aid workers, Jolie said, although the casting hasn't yet been officially announced.
The long-in-the-works project has already gone through several cast and crew changes, with such talent as Catherine Zeta-Jones, Kevin Costner, Oliver Stone, and Ralph Fiennes leaving through its revolving door.
Martin Campbell (GoldenEye) is now on directorial duty for the drama, which starts production soon. Jolie tells us that she's due to report for the African segment of the shoot in March. The globe-trotting actress is also a UN goodwill ambassador, and kept a journal of her recent visit to Africa, which can be read at www.usaforunhcr.org/journal/.
The movie, appropriately enough, was Ghost.
